You Are Loved is the new work from Welsh band with rather interesting name; The Death Of Her Money. The album and all seven tracks are kept in the vein of a modern post metal scene.

You Are Loved, being the second full-length of this unit, start so great entering the big door. I was thrilled by the power, rage and energy put forward by this band. First three songs were very promising and bombastic; with punishing rhythms, angry and deep hardcore vocals and droning guitar and slow heart-beating drum sounds. After this, it starts to get boring as the band slows things further down. Distortion is simply too high that one can not hear them properly, which is a shame. Obviously there’re some beautiful & melodic moments on this record and when accompanied by experimental features – it is still decent piece of music.

The overall sound is good and their song-writing skills are undisputed. However; I wish there was a lot more variation and unexpected elements on this lengthy release. For me it is simply unexplainable why first half of the album is pretty awesome while the rest is shitty?!

You Are Loved can only be recommended for fans of sludge/hardcore/experimental/ progressive post metal genre; all the others will be bored! All in all; this is a very mediocre release…

Troppo poco.

Matig.

Inderdaad, The Death of Her Money klinkt niet slecht.

Well here we have something that I can moderately relate to. The music captured on this CD is quite modern, but it’s not that whole “post-“ scene stuff, although there are definitive hints towards that type of music. The music is a lot slower, heavier, more in the Sludge Metal genre, although there are a lot of Hardcore influences in the music. Not bad, just not really my type of music, to my ears a lot more enjoyable then the whole “post-“ music thing.
