The debut full-length album by Russian Melodic Alternative Metal/Rock band. With their first album, CIRCLE STORY delivers some high quality material that features a bunch of hit potential songs. This eleven-track opus is all about variety. Of course in a good way. You can obviously hear some Grunge influences plus some low-tuned and 7-string riffing here and there. Catchy vocal melodies that won't go away after you stop listening, monumental arrangement with strings and keyboards and tasty guitar playing - that's also what the CIRCLE STORY debut contains. With some Progressive twist that is present on some tracks, the band sounds like GOJIRA meets DREAM THEATER on some Modern Rock radio territory, which is also not bad at all. It is very hard to label this band, to tag this band. If you compare their music to fine arts - "Uncovered Fears" will be like canvas of many colors, hanging in a darkened room. It has everything good Rock or Metal album should have - arena choruses with well-thought-out guitars and rythm section. At a time when mediocrity pervades the music industry through and through, "Uncovered Fears" is a true gem to listen to. With its sincerity, deep emotion and immensity it should satisfy even the most picky listener. Accompanied with a beautiful 12-paged booklet, featuring some interesting artwork by the designer Pablo Antonoff, this CD becomes a great option for the fans of ALTER BRIDGE, ALICE IN CHAINS, GOJIRA, STONE SOUR, KATATONIA, MASTODON. Progheads shouldn't be disappointed too!

The long-awaited debut full-length by this Chilean band. Coffin Curse was thrown into this worthless world in Santiago in mid-2012, as a side-project of the main band Inanna, to spawn and vomit forth Death Metal in its purest form. Max Neira (guitars, bass, vocals) conceived this beast as a two-piece squad to explore the caverns of everlasting pain and horror. Musically, this is malevolent, straightforward, headbang-inducing Death Metal, inspired by early 90's U.S. icons such as Morbid Angel, Monstrosity, Obituary, Immolation or Deicide, plus the vicious vibe from the founding fathers such as Pentagram (Chile), Death, Possessed, Sepultura, Massacre, Slaughter Lord, Necrovore, etc. There's no blind allegiance nor messages to anyone; no dogmatic, religious, or cult preaching. Coffin Curse verses are just focused on the multiple facets of death in all its shapes, spiritually, physically, morally, mentally and metaphysically: evil, madness, multiple perversions, violence, hatred and despair, all that in communion within the endless confines of the human psyche. From 2012 up until 2018, Coffin Curse have insulted the planet with one demo, three EP's and one split effort, and now Max Neira along with Carlos Fuentes (drums) are ready to spit out the band's debut album, titled "Ceased to Be", which will be their biggest insult to the planet yet. Classic and crushing, Coffin Curse here unload a barrage of timeless Death Metal in a most late-80's mold, a time, it must be said (or at least repeated once again!), when "songwriting" and "Death Metal" weren't mutually exclusive terms. No riff salads, no jock jams, no gore-overload masking a dearth of ideas. Rather, taut and terrorizing memorability pumped full of catchy-as-the-clap riffs, haunting-the-chapel leads, and pro but not-too-polished production that only heightens the dark depths these Chileans plumb so powerfully. We'd deign to call it "classy" even, but this is fucking Death Metal after all! With suitably classic Death Metal cover art courtesy of Daniel Hermosilla (Nox Fragor Art), and climaxing with the 9-minute epic "Deep in Streams of Purifying Dirt", Coffin Curse crush graves and dreams alike with "Ceased to Be"!

The debut full –length album by the Ukrainian band Contaminated consists of 12 slabs of freshly sliced and expertly stuffed brutal death metal meat of choice. The style of the band was influenced by North American and European old school death/ grind metal of the 90’s enriched with the elements of melodic death/ thrash metal and, at times, even with the fragments close to doom metal. These insertions to the powerful and solid brutal death metal framework here and there turning into quite pacey death/ grind do not diminish brutality, speed and ultimatism of the music but add some grace and atmosphere keeping the band up-to-date balancing between brutality and melody. The work by Contaminated will be of interest both for the desperate fans of brutal knifing and for the adepts of a more progressive death metal sound.

"Invisible Landscapes" is dark ambient created with a typical Russian approach, combining an homage to native traditions, deeply melancholic contemplation and powerful thirst for the beyond. Dark red embers, twilight, wind swaying over tree tops, wandering in forest labyrinths and gradually dissolving in the infinite circle of life and death. Rich sounds are created with Soviet analogue synthesizers, some field recordings, voice samples and digital processing. The music of Corvuz is inspired by the project Staruha Mha, with a cover-version of the "Thawing In Fog" rounding up the album. The album was mastered by Sergey (Uak-Kib), artwork performed by Sergey Ilchuk (Siyanie, ex-Vetvei & Vresnit Art).

2022 reissue by Ardua Music as six panel digipack limited to 300 copies. Choosing the term "depressive dark rock" to describe themselves doesn't do Counting Hours enough justice as the debut album from this Finnish five-piece not only links their sound to game-changing acts such as Katatonia, Paradise Lost and October Tide but succeeds on evoking the lost feeling of the 90s dark and gothic music scene, mainly because part of what you get to hear on their fresh and intriguing 2018 demo was written during that era, embodying the original atmosphere and vulnerability only a band from those times could materialize. Jarno Salomaa (guitars) comments on the debut full-length: «When we first started with Counting Hours, I basically went to our rehearsal room with Ilpo and had some beers along to record some vocals on the demo stuff I had made. Basically, nothing else besides creating music from the grounds I had made for Rapture back in early 2000. But anyway... Beer, good ideas (or damn bad ones) with a touch of Finnish-sweet melancholy combined with depressive music did hit us at last. After a while rehearsing and just a couple of shows, there was this very clear vision of continuing this path.» Now, and in order to successfully explore this territory, Counting Hours have tightened the screws with the aid of Jussi Hämäläinen (Hanging Garden, The Chant, Mercury Circle), who handled production and mixing duties, and Jaime Gomez Arellano, who took care of the mastering process, to offer in their debut album "The Will" a truly exciting combination of varying elements brimming with dark-stained riffs and the melancholic yet powerful vocals of The Chant's Ilpo Paasela.
