The debut album by the band from Smolensk consists of eight tracks including three songs taken form demo 2006. The band performs its variant of mid-tempo melodic black-death metal with strong gothic-doominfluence. On a compositional level the album structure is based on thick guitar riffs classical for this genre, entrancing keyboard melodies alternating with dynamic drumming and topped with uncompromising, deep, brutal growling. The lyrics of the album narrate on loneliness and despair of ancient Indonesian mythological creatures, motherly love and anguish of bereavement, clouded relationships between man and god, devil and himself, difficulties of a life’s journey beyond the middle-brow values.The last track "Vsled za toboy"(“Following you”) is a kind of a ballad about love and hopelessness for the fans of classical doom-metal.While working on the album the band was looking up to such bands as Graveworm, Illnath and some other similar representatives of the genre, however it didn’t affect band’s identity.

Most possibly a new name to most..... PANDO are an entity emanating from West Massachussetts in the US of A. Pando don't subscribe to any defined or constraining perceptions of genre - they just do what they do. However, what they do sounds incredible - it is an epiphany to these ears. It moulds together rhythmical structures, mellow noise, samples and recorded oddities - into an amalgamation of lush perfection. There are no comparisons to make - but I can catch fleeting glimpses of Portishead, Morthound, Future Sound of London, The Doors and submerging into ambient noise..... As Pando themseves re-iterate: ....sonically, hiraeth contains various field recordings, experiments, samples, and sound manipulations including a collection of photography, conversations, and artwork gathered by pando throughout the years and digitally rendered into raw audio data in the form of noise. voicemails and audio recordings of memories and experiences were obtained from friends and family through the use of social media and phone calls. Ov Shadows is a Black Metal band from Gothenberg, Sweden. Rising from the ashes of "Waning", a band that all four members previously played in, Ov Shadows introduced their sound with the 2016 self-released EP "Monologues" before releasing its first full-length album "The Darkness Between Stars" in 2018. This summer, Ov Shadows returns with their second full-length and first release on Hypnotic Dirge Records. Entitled "I Djävulens Avbild" (In the Devil's Image), the new record presents Ov Shadows at an unprecedented ferocity and forward-momentum, and apparently very intent on proving that to their listeners immediately, as pummeling drums and a heavy galloping riff fill the speakers within seconds of the opening track "Den Eld Som Tär Och Förvrider." Throughout "I Djävulens Avbild, the pace hardly ever lets up, instead taking you on an all-out sensory assault. The combination of infectious riffs, recurring hooks, blastbeats, and tortured vocals create an enveloping claustrophobic and dark dissonance, as if a shroud has covered your face and defined forms have turned to shadows. Despite its unrelenting nature, the details really shine through on "I Djävulens Avbild" thanks to its clear production, precise musicianship, and deliberate flow. The few times where the record does slow down become quite memorable due to the contrast. The use of powerful percussion and austere bass create a trance-inducing atmosphere while discordant tremolo-picked melodies soar overhead creating a wonderful juxtaposition that crescendos into catharsis. "Ov shadows is about exploring and embracing the dark aspects that dwell within us all – your ‘shadows-self’ as Carl Jung expressed it.
