In 2008, after a fifteen-year hiatus, the legendary CYNIC reemerged with 'Traced in Air.' An album of sublime beauty, 'Traced in Air' blended their renowned musical prowess with splendor and grace. Now, a decade later, the trio usher forth a renewed edition of that very album. Featuring new tracking by virtuoso bassist Sean Malone, and a vibrant new remix and remaster by PERIPHERY’s Adam “Nolly” Getgood (ANIMALS AS LEADERS, DEVIN TOWNSEND, HAKEN), 'Traced in Air Remixed' underscores just how vital and important this album truly is.

Deep melancholy and ancient longing permeates the heart and soul of Ukrainian music. DRUDKH capture that precious essence of sadness in their brand of Slavonic Heathen Metal. The cinematic, folk-influenced music of "Microcosmos" focuses on luxuriant atmospheres charged with strong emotions. Lyrically DRUDKH delve into nature mysticism, the passing of seasons, philosophy, Ukrainian mythology, legends and history – often inspired by the works of nineteenth and twentieth century Ukrainian poets. Due to irritations regarding their motivations, DRUDKH decided to issue one public statement only, but again not to give interviews nor make use of any internet platform: "During all its history, the band followed a 'no photos, no interviews, no website, no gigs' policy, which was nobly accepted by DRUDKH's new label Season of Mist. The absence of any comments or information from DRUDKH's side gave an opening to a few ignorant internet warrior-fans to spread rumors, that the band embraces extreme political views. This is absolutely misleading and a total profanation, since there is nothing in DRUDKH's music or lyrics that would suggest any political outlook. DRUDKH praise individualism, self-improvement and estrangement from modern values." "Microcosmos" is the magical seventh album since their acclaimed debut "Forgotten Legends" (2003). Enter this dark universe!

The prolific and enigmatic Ukranian black metal collective DRUDKH returns with the new album, 'A Furrow Cut Short'. Their most epic full-length to date, 'A Furrow Cut Short' features the grandeur of seven huge, sweeping songs that draw inspiration from the genre's true roots. Eschewing speed and brutally for ambiance and mood, each piece is a journey downward giving pause only for a fell voice from the wilderness. Without a doubt, 'A Furrow Cut Short' is black metal brilliance, and the ultimate statement of intent from a true genre leader.

Season of Mist now completes their successful venture of re-releasing DRUDKH’s complete back catalogue with “Estrangement”. Originally released in 2007, this album saw the Ukrainians return to their harsh Black Metal sound including blast beats, after the heavily Folklore inspired and partly acoustic “Songs of Grief and Solitude” (2006). With its clear and dark songwriting the band created an album that could nearly be called catchy, considering the genre, and even features some haunting solo parts. The lyrics on “Estrangement” are entirely derived from the words of the Ukrainian poet Oleh Olzhych. This masterpiece is now made available again in a much improved packaging.

DRUDKH have written one of the most successful underground Black Metal stories with their previous eight albums. Now “Eternal Turn of the Wheel” witnesses the Ukrainians returning to their atmospheric black roots, which are most loved by their dedicated following around the globe. Gone are the progressive elements characterising their previous release “Handful of Stars” (2010). DRUDKH’s newest masterpiece owes more to their cult debut “Forgotten Legends” (2003) and the cinematic soundscapes of “Autumn Aurora” (2004) with some of the traditional influences rising on “The Swan Road” (2005). Fans of the slightly progressive “Blood in Our Wells” (2006) will also find their moments. Like the partly acoustic “Songs of Grief and Solitude” (2006) “Eternal Turn of the Wheel” offers a more melodic approach as the harsh “Estrangement” (2007) and ties in well with the widely acclaimed “Microcosmos” (2009) album. DRUDKH offer Slavonic Heathen Metal at its best and the perfect soundtrack of winter!

Expectations are soaring as Pagan Black Metal legend DRUDKH unleash “Handful of Stars”. Their eighth album once again lives up to the Ukrainians’ expressed values of individualism and self-improvement. Although the band preserve their unique sound, they move into a more atmospheric and progressive direction. This ties in well with the meandering paths DRUDKH took on each new release. As on their latest release “Microcosmos” (2009) and previous albums, DRUDKH delve into nature mysticism, legend and history – this time mainly inspired by the Ukrainian poets Oleksa Stefanovych and Svyatoslav Gordynskyj.

Funeral Doom titans ESOTERIC return with the monolithic ‘A Pyrrhic Existence,’ the collective’s first new album in eight years. Their undeniable power and time-warping arrangements are unparalleled even by doom metal standards, taking on an almost psychedelic hue at times here. As each of the six songs in this 2CD set roar to life, including the 27+ minute epic "Descent," the gravity swallows’ listeners up as they are pulled into their depths. ESOTERIC are, quite literally, one of metal’s heaviest bands, and the somber ‘A Pyrrhic Existence’ is further proof of their mastery.
