gothic doom / depressive rock, The Vinyl Division
For quite some time guitarist Jarno Salomaa (Shape Of Despair, ex-Rapture) and vocalist Ilpo Paasela (The Chant) had spoken about putting together a band that would reflect the vulnerability and the certain atmosphere of the 90's. Such groups as early Katatonia, Paradise Lost and October Tide had made all-ghanging impact on both in their youth. Finally, in early 2015 the line-up was completed with Tomi Ullgren (Shape of Despair, Impaled Nazarene) on guitars, Sameli Köykkä (ex-Colosseum) on drums and Markus Forsström (The Chant) on bass. Counting Hours was born. The main thing was that all had similar thoughts on what kind of feelings and views the music can arouse. The first and so far only demo was recorded in summer/autumn 2016. Part of the material Jarno had written already in the late 90's before parting ways with Rapture and the other part came alive later. The untitled demo cd sold out fast but chance to re-release it on vinyl came in 2018. The official release will be on September through The Vinyl Division. The road to perdition will also go on as there's new material coming. Exit all false! This 2018 vinyl version includes an extended version of "Buried In The White" plus a new mix and master dedicated for vinyl. Limited to 200 copies on single black vinyl with printed inner sleeve. 45 RPM

experimental rock/metal, The Vinyl Division
Born from an idea by guitarist -viNd- during a hiatus in his other bands (Manes and Atrox), a group of comrades that he knew had the live and studio experience needed to get this group off its feet were recruited, and thus Drontheim was established. Drontheim plays music on the edge between post-rock and alternative metal, infused with large amounts of atmospheric and cinematic passages. Sometimes distorted and strict, and other times dark and emotional. Members of Drontheim is, or has been involved with bands like Manes, Atrox, Khonsu, Bloodthorn and more. Thematically Drontheim is rooted in an alternative reality regarding World War II, and the many “what if’s” in relation to the outcome of the war. The band is strictly non-political with no collective agenda on any level except the artistic, but the inspiration grew from a strong interest in WWII in general, and more specifically the German vision for Neu Drontheim - New Trondheim - as the new capital for the Germanized Scandinavia. “Down below” is their debut album after a handful of earlier digital singles and music videos, presented on single vinyl and printed inner sleeve plus poster. As an active live band, they have a tour lined up for early 2019 in support of the album. Limited to 200 copies on black vinyl

eclectic doom death / black metal, The Vinyl Division

The fourth full-length album of the Belgian quintet Marche Funèbre entitled "Einderlicht", which is translated as "light at the end", combines all traditional elements known from the previous works of the group: death, black and doom metal fused in a unique mixture with strong melodies and wide range vocals.
Thematically, "Einderlicht" focuses on the strange ability of humanity to consciously decide to commit suicide.
Accounting for their previous experience, which has borne good results, the musicians decided to again ask to perform recording Markus Stock, known for his cult bands and participation in the recording of Empyrium, Vision Bleak, Alcest, Secrets Of The Moon and many others. Brooke Schaden has created another magical cover art for this piece, like for all other Marche Funèbre's full-length albums. Double Gatefold LP including two bonus tracks. Beer/black vinyl limited to 100 copies. Tracks C2 and D2 are bonus tracks on this release

atmospheric dark metal, The Vinyl Division
Available as 12" EP with insert on black, electric blue or brown marble vinyl, limited to 100 units each. Dedicated vinyl master. Jaani Peuhu, producer, songwriter and musician from Helsinki (Finland) is the creator of darkwave electronic band Iconcrash, which debuted with "Nude" in 2005, followed by two more albums. In 2015 Jaani set out on his solo project and released his first album, “Tear Catcher”. He joined Swallow the Sun in 2019 while producing "When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light“, which reached the Finnish album charts at #1 and winned him a nomination for the Finnish grammy “Emma” in 2020. Jaani has worked with various multiplatinum-selling Finnish pop artists and metal acts like Before The Dawn, Diamond Black, Thunderstone, and To/Die/For. He also topped the album charts with writing and co-producing Lord of the Lost's 2018 album "Thornstar" and was nominated for the "Emma“ for Hallatar's debut album "No Stars Upon The Bridge“ (2018), which he also produced and mixed, along with playing bass live. Although Jaani wanted to focus on his career as a producer, touring with Hallatar and Swallow the Sun made him want to tour with his own music again. He had the unique idea to create the genre of “new doom”. From that, Mercury Circle was born. This is a new direction of dark metal infused with powerful synth/electro waves and doom. He’s finally returning to vocals to bring you something purely enigmatic. He would say: "After I returned from touring with Hallatar I started to write new music. My plan was not to write anything too heavy. For some reason the songs I wrote were closer to doom metal than dark rock. I followed my heart and wrote an album without any preconceptions about genres, planning, or second guessing what I was doing. I felt like I needed to get these songs out of my system. When the songs were written and the demos done I started to think what I was going to do with them and whether I should form a band to perform them. I made a of list of musicians I wanted to work with. I contacted them, played the demos, and after asking if they were interested to join, they all said yes". Thus the lineup was completed with Juppe Sutela (To/Die/For) and Jussi Hämäläinen (Hanging Garden,The Chant) on guitars, Antti Kiiski (Sleep of Monsters, Rytmihäiriö) on bass and Juuso Raatikainen (Swallow the Sun) on drums. Their 2020 debut EP “The Dawn of Vitriol” contains 5 tracks in more than 30 minutes ranging from synth/electro sounds to touching doom metal, without leaving aside catchy melodies no short of emotion that will please fans of Killing Joke, Anathema, Cathedral, Depeche Mode, The Gathering, Ulver or The Cure among others. Cover artwork was created by the renowned and prolific graphic designer and visual artist Kalle Pyyhtinen (Utudesign) and was mastered by Jaime Gómez Arellano at Orgone Studios.

The Hours of my Wake, the debut album from Finland´s Obseqvies, rakes the tolls of the most angst ridden of livings and throws them back at existence by digging deep into the mires of funeral doom. Out of this world, profound and distraughtly deep, this modern masterpiece takes the listener beyond and back with an outstandingly well-yielded musicianship. Not relinquishing the lessons learnt from the masters of the genre, it does tap into the very seams of musical sanity and twists them beyond healing. The path is paved. Obseqvies will make the horror of dying real. There is no beginning and no end, just an endless circle in the process of dying. Double black vinyl with gatefold sleeve and artwork from Greek visual artist and singer Gogo Melone (Aeonian Sorrow, Clouds). Limited to 200 copies and dedicated vinyl master for this version.

funeral doom metal, The Vinyl Division
The long journey leading to the creation of this album started all the way back in the summer of 2012, when Kostas announced to his then band members an outline for a new concept album. This ambitious project would involve a short story which would serve as the concept of the album, the participation of numerous guests to emphasize each chapter’s unique characteristics, and a sound which would be designed to take the listener on a dazzling journey through the various twists and turns of the band’s sound throughout the years. It’s pretty safe to say that a lot of things have changed since then and the concept and sound have evolved dramatically until the creation of this album. However, despite the changes, the philosophy behind this concept album and its singular purpose have remained intact. And how could it not be, with such a pedigree of musicians in the band that are or were involved in bands as diverse and unique as FEN, SHAPE OF DESPAIR, CLOUDS and CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX. The album also features two top guest musicians, who were also previously members of the band, both shining in the track ‘1453: An Empire Crumbles’: Andy (SYVEN) and Pete (VOICES) add their own colourful brushstrokes to the album’s already varied palette. “Seeking Infinity” is a 60-minute cinematic journey through funeral doom landscapes. Those already familiar with the band, will be delighted by its twists and turns, presenting elements of brutal doom death metal and extreme blast beats, and turning with equal ease to ambient sounds, neofolk and post rock elements. Recorded, mixed and engineered by drummer Daniel Neagoe (Shape of Despair, Clouds) and enhanced with the enchanting artwork of the band’s visual artist Cheryl, the album sounds and looks both modern and familiar. It is sure to fill with nostalgia fans of old-school traditional funeral doom death, while also drawing to its mystical sound new followers for the years to come.

Started in 2012 under the command of producer, musician and songwriter Saku Moilanen, Red Moon Architect are considered one of the most valuable assets of the doom metal scene in their home Finland. After three studio albums and two years since their last studio effort to date "The Return Of The Black Butterflies", “Kuura” is an album that differs from Red Moon Architect’s catalogue. It’s a rough, unpolished and brutally honest representation of the darkest corners of mind and soul. Sometimes you get beaten down so hard, you don’t even want to get up anymore. There are lyrics written, but they won’t ever be released because of personal attachments. Emotional charge of the vocals will surely deliver the message. This is a very special release in many ways, to be issued only on black vinyl as physical format by The Vinyl Division. A new opus of crushing and despairing funeral doom like they never did before. Maybe one day there’ll be light again. Fourth studio album, released on black vinyl limited to 300 pressings. No credits or lyrics added due to band´s personal reasons.

Limited to 100 copies on black vinyl and 100 pressings on white vinyl. Includes insert. TodoMal (translates as “all evil” or “all wrong”) came to life in the year zero of our era, 2020, as the brain child of Wildman and Mile, two veteran multi-instrumentalists of the Spanish underground (and not only) metal scene, whose extensive background goes back to a myriad of projects of multiple styles. TodoMal is the product of serendipity, a personal combination of the solemnity of traditional doom metal with the profusion of space-rock. TodoMal's backdrop is the vast, placid and depressing desolate wasteland of the north of the Alcarria region, in the so-called "uninhabited rural Spain''. It evokes a place halfway between the Mancha of Don Quixote, the film Los Santos Inocentes, the realism of the Generation of '98, the ecclesiastical baroque, films such as Buñuel's Simon of the Desert, etc. Imagine Candlemass and Pink Floyd having a drunken brawl over some cheap wine and then writing an album to make amends... The result could well be 'Ultracrepidarian', the first work of TodoMal, a 38-minute journey made up of seven hypnotic tracks full of contrasts and surprises, a mix of gloomy decadence and forceful riffs plagued by exciting and epic passages of enveloping keyboards. 'Ultracrepidarian’ crosses the dark sea of doom metal’s orthodoxy to enter an oceanic chasm of as-yet unknown dimensions. Mastered by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios, Summer 2021.

depressive doom / rock, The Vinyl Division
Featuring former members of well known doom metal units like Mourning Sun and Mar de Grises, the participants in Wooden Veins are by far no strangers to the scene. With the idea of creating a different kind of music, including sub genres and traces of other elements, they truly create their very own and other-worldy universe of sound. With a wide range of ingredients, packed into a defined artistic concept & aesthetic, the band's upcoming debut is a deeply powerful piece of music, exploring the edge of extreme metal's territories. Inspired by "Poética de Arturo H. Lobos", a book written by Wooden Veins' vocalist Javier Cerda, "In Finitude" talks about life and death, illusions and the existential reflections of being. A profoundly honest and personal debut by the band from Chile, as Juan Escobar reveals: "There are lyrical and musical moments that are very personal and sometimes it is difficult to convey so many emotions in a song. Throughout the creative process, we had several weeks giving meaning to this sound-journey, in the most natural way of expressing it, becoming part of it. In Finitude is an important part of us, of our lives, of the journey we embark on and that defines us as human beings." Debut album presented as 6 panel digipack.
