The long-awaited release by the vanguard of Solitude Prod., the second full-length album from Moscow band Who Dies In Siberian Slush! In this work the Russian masters of funeral doom death follow their own way of music composition and sound production showing their potential from alternative side. Like «Bitterness Of The Years That Are Lost», the new album of WDISS contains a lot of funeral doom elements, however, the basic style is more close to doom death metal. At the same time «We Have Been Dead Since Long Ago» features diverse stylistic inclusions and variations. Icy massifs of guitar riffs framed by an outstanding growl, irrepressible fire of solo guitar parties, and piercing cold rain coming from heaven through the sound of funeral march are waiting for the listener. The album is recorded and mastered at the Primordial Studio (Comatose Vigil, Abstract Spirit, Revelations of Rain ). The lyrical concept of the album is based on different tragic events with sorrowful epilogues and continues the philosophic tradition started at the previous band works. Despite the contradictoriness and the irregularity of the album, it is highly recommended to fans of Ataraxie, Profetus, Loss and My Shameful style.

This work is an exploration of internal and external purging; all the suffering, fear, and anxiety that the titanic forces of Nature exert over our lives, and the hidden light that can be found within when it seems that all is lost. It is a journey of death, renewal and the resilience of the human Spirit. A significant sonic departure from previous releases, Tides Of Fire is propelled by a dense, aggressively percussive core. Two full drum kits, auxiliary percussion, and layers of guitars are utilized to create an utterly unique and intense experience. Gripping spoken word, intricate folk melodies, and murky psychedelic passages also find their way to the surface when the metallic fury subsides. This is a work that simply overflows with raw emotion; helpless rage, deep love, and awe-filled reverence.

Nearly a year in the making, and including a cast of 30 musicians, J.R. Robinson delivers his towering third album as Wrekmeister Harmonies entitled Night of Your Ascension. As with previous Wrekmeister albums, the ensemble is made up of an all-star cast of musicians from the metal, new music and rock communities. Musicians include Lee Buford and Chip King from The Body, Alexander Hacke (Einsturzende Neubauten), Cooper Crain (Cave), Marissa Nadler, Mary Lattimore, Olivia Block, Eric Chaleff (Bloodiest), Dylan O’Toole and Ron DeFries of Indian, Bruce Lamont, Sanford Parker (Twilight), Mark Solotroff (Anatomy of Habit), Solomon Lee Walker, Chris Brokaw (Come), and Jaime Fennelly (Mind Over Mirrors). Robinson has long been fascinated with those whose habits or actions have set them beyond the reach of redemption. Through his video art and his music, Robinson continues to explore humanity’s darkest impulses and society’s response to them. The death of Father John Goeghan and the life of Don Carlo Gesualdo were starting points for the two compositions on his new album. The title track, “Night of Your Ascension,” was as much influenced by Don Carlo Gesualdo’s horrific act as it was by the extreme nature of his compositions. There are many that have been inspired by Gesualdo’s imaginative and complex works, from Herzog’s “Death for Five Voices,” to Igor Stravinsky who created “Monumentum pro Gesualdo.” All were perhaps drawn to the unanswerable question whether or not the violence of his life was related to the violence of his music. Robinson, while intrigued by that question, focuses on evoking the extreme nature of Gesualdo’s act while using the man’s music as a vehicle. The resulting composition is compelling, and the hopes are that we ask why such horror is so captivating to the collective mindset. “Night of Your Ascension” is built around a reworking of Gesualdo’s madrigal “Ahi Dispietata e Cruda.” Intrigued by its microtonal qualities,” Robinson re-structured the madrigal so that it could fit modally into the key of A and to extend into the rest of the composition. XENTRIX - thrash metal группа, сформированная в 1984-м году в городе Прэстон (Англия). До 1988-го группа существовала под названием SWEET VENGEANCE и даже выпустила в таком виде 4-песенное дэмо. Ypres is a St.Petersburg band named after the Belgian locale famous for being the place of first ever effective use of chemical weaponry in a war setting. Over the last 4 years the band has released a debut self-titled full-length, followed by the EP Genus Vitiosum, showcasing a firm affinity for the legacy post metal sound.
