SCOLOPENDRA CINGULATA performs the rawest cemeterial black metal from early 90-s and only the thoughtful listeners who do not fix their attention on stereotypes and tropes characteristic of the style will see the true value of this album. SCOLOPENDRA CINGULATA does not copy any other band or follow a narrow direction. In its case music is really “alive” and these 30 minutes are full of emotions overwhelming the musicians. It must be admitted that the efforts expended by the band during the recording of this EP were definitely worthwhile: each listener will find his own meaning and something intimate in the songs of this album!

Burn the witch вплетает в повествование модную оккультную тему и снова делает ставку в трек-листе на horror synth, психодел 70-х и прочие хелтер-скелтеровские настроения той эпохи. Sentinel – привычный, неспешный cold/dream/dark рор от Brandy Kills. Плотный и релаксирующий. Sin and obey рассыпается между trip hop, vaporwave и synth goth. Deliverance – почти канонический synthwave, а завершающая Vendetta вспоминает олдскульный post punk обычай.

Взяв название группы у одного из персонажей фантастического сериала Star Trek, молодая финская группа AGONIZER предлагает всем действительно музыку будущего. Их причудливый гибрид из heavy в духе ранних работ Sonata Arctica и Twilighting с золотыми наработками Sentenced времен альбомов ‘Down’ и ‘Crimson’ удивит своими хитами и необычной глубиной композиций, слушать которые из раза в раз все интереснее. Судьба группы уникальна – они были почти подписаны на Century Media, но сделка сорвалась; они попали в 6 лучших на знаменитом соревновании ‘Metal Battle’ на Wacken Open Air и опять в последний момент подписание контракта не состоялось. В итоге группа сама записала дебютный альбом “Birth/The End” в студии Astia и, разослав его в качестве демо, получила контракт с лучшим финским лейблом Spinefarm Records.
