SIX FEET UNDER - американская death metal группа, образованная бывшим вокалистом CANNIBAL CORPSE Крисом Барнсом и гитаристом OBITUARY Алленом Вэстом в 1993 году. После выхода пластинки Death Rituals (2008) басист Терри Батлер и барабанщик Грег Голл покинули группу в начале 2011. Заменив их на Джеффа Хьюэлла (BRAIN DRILL, VILE, JEFF HUGHELL) и Кевина Толли (DAATH, DECREPIT BIRTH, DYING FETUS), Крис Барнс доукомплектовал состав Робом Арнольдом (CHIMAIRA, THE ELITE) в качестве второго гитариста. Записав в таком составе девятый полноформатник "Undead", SFU чуть позже расстались с Робом, заменив его на Олу Инглунда (FEARED, SCARPOINT). The new album of S.C.A.L.P., a legendary band from Oryol, is a quite mature work that was released after a long break. “To the Heroes of the Past” doesn’t bow to today’s music sound trend of a similar genre. It’s a kind of live sound blending of heavy metal and melancholic rock.
The album includes 10 tracks arranged in one conceptual line, telling one story from the beginning to the end. The track "Third Spring” was composed with the participation of Evgeniy Ryzhenok, one of the founders of the band, who died tragically in 2004.

Alternative 4 is Duncan Patterson's (ex-Anathema, ex-Antimatter, Íon) latest brainchild. With the band name derived from the eponymous Anathema album from 1998, the musical and atmospheric direction of this band is given: a solid rock foundation enriched with painful piano and string arrangements, sometimes on the verge of ambient music, sometimes offering the big influence of the rather dark and abysmal side of Pink Floyd. All this can already be witnessed on last year's debut album "The Brink" which now receives its re-release to mark the beginning of Alternative 4’s and Prophecy’s future collaboration.

“Fucked-Up Songs” is a debut release of DISTRESSFUL PROJECT formed by the two member of a famous and well-liked band ATRA HORA (Pyatigorsk, Russia). The material for this album was composed back in 2008. However, after so many years the musicians decided to rework it completely rather than just re-record the outdated stuff. The new incarnation of songs was significantly influenced by a wide range of genres: a traditional gothic-doom metal foundation with gloomy thick death/doom metal riffs and mighty low male growling was combined with atmospheric post-rock interludes, ambient inserts and trip-hop beats generated using a time-honoured Roland TR-808, the iconic drum-machine from early 90s. Moreover, Yanis and Alextos introduced melodies untypical of doom death metal – they are more characteristic of Greek metal scene represented by ROTTING CHRIST and SEPTIC FLESH, and different vocal techniques – from clean singing to various extreme vocals. As a result the album sounds very lively. The musicians managed to avoid the excessive length of songs and dragging out of material in general, both characteristic of doom metal.

TENEBRAE IN PERPETUUM proffer three odes paying homage to their musical forebears, while KROHM bestows a trinity of tracks composed post-"A Haunting Presence". Here, we encounter a lesser-seen face of TENEBRAE IN PERPETUUM: with a slower tempo, darker atmosphere and more obscure aura synonymous with their earliest days. KROHM's offerings, meanwhile, pay tribute to Numinas' home country, with inspiration drawn from long walks along the streets of the old world, breathing in the cold winter air.
