The Greek masters of atmospheric doom death metal are now back with a new, third full-length album aiming to surprise and conquer listeners once again. As usual, the musicians add new colors to their palette to demonstrate feelings opening up from a new angle. The shrouding with coldness Shattered Hope's novel work is a deep philosophical dialogue with eternity, expressed through deep texts hiding references to the classics, as well as through powerful crushing music performed with impeccable skill and sincerity. The first 100 copies of the album are released as a six-panel digipack with a superbly designed twelve-page booklet.

The third album by the Russian funeral doom metal band Abysskvlt continues the exploration of Tibetan spiritual culture. The musicians’ experiments resulted in the lyrics written and performed in Tibetan and Shangshung languages, moreover, twenty traditional Tibetan musical instruments were used in the recording. The album is dedicated to the theme of Leaving and describes the rituals of heavenly funeral and further spirit wandering through the abyss beyond Samsara borders. This is the most unusual funeral doom metal by Abysskvlt, with an even greater tendency towards the music of the ancient Bon tradition. This is the release for the initiated. The edition comes as a noble six-panel digipack.

The new album by the Brazilian leaders of atmospheric doom death metal inherits from two previous works and rises the musicians' skill to another high level. The already balanced and optimized recipe consisting of monumental keyboards and organ parts with dark guitar riffs framed by shrill solos is superimposed on the crystal sound and gives birth to the magic of HellLight. A bright, unique material touching to the depths of the soul is addressed both to keen admirers of the genre and for all fans of heavy and dark sensual music.

The second album by the Irish band Superstatic founded by Rustam, the founding member of Rakoth and Umbral Presence, who also used to play bass in Cruachan. The name of the band is derived from the debut Rakoth album, "Superstatic Equilibrium", however this time Rustam (under the name of Alex) has turned to doom death metal. On "Glimmering Veil" the music leaned more towards funeral doom metal, became darker and more complex, incorporating elements of horror. At the same time lyrics are based on works by Harlan Ellison, Wilhelm Hauff, Stephen King and Arthur Machen, and videogames Morrowind and System Shock 2, which makes listening to "Glimmering Veil" even more interesting and unpredictable.
Guitar parts were performed by Sergei Lazar (Arkona, Rossomahaar), who has also mixed the album. The album was mastered by Tom Waltz, known from his work with Venom, Annihilator, Dopethrone and many other artists.
The album is released also as a limited edition four panel digipak featuring a twelve page booklet, in order to make your journey into the depths of "Glimmering Veil" even more unforgettable.

After many years of silence Intaglio has released a new full-length album called “II”. The album can be described as a "doom opera" and will not only amaze old fans of the band, but should also interest new listeners with the contributions Intaglio has made to the development of the style.
A large form was used on "II", which is exceedingly rare in metal and rock music. Only live instruments were used in the recording, including classical ones such as cello and upright bass, and professional vocalists with voices varying from basso profundo to soprano have created a unique palette of sounds. The album is a conceptual work with compositions and lyrics united as a single large piece, and for the full experience should be listened to from beginning to end in order to completely immerse the listener into its atmosphere.
"II" was recorded and mixed at Slow Burn Studio (When Nothing Remains, Woe Unto Me), was mastered by Mika Jussila (Shape Of Despair, Isole, Unholy, Moonspell) at the legendary Finnvox studio in Finland, and includes stunning cover art crafted by the Polish artist Mariusz Lewandowski (Bell Witch, Atramentus) and designed to highlight and complement the album's unique music. Both massive and sophisticated Intaglio’s creation is a brand new and exciting take on the doom death genre.

The fourth full-length album from Russian heavyweights in funeral doom death metal, convincingly showcasing the peak of the musicians' craftsmanship. The album continues the path of complicating the musical structure, which now incorporates powerful keyboards and trombone parts. There is also a further complexity in the structure of the lyrics, which unites all the compositions of the album into a single conceptual narrative. This confessional canvas presents the inner world of a hero who once succumbed to pride, having gone through internal catastrophes on a path washed by tears. The artwork, complementing the musical and lyrical components, is created by the artist Matvey Bobkov. The recording and mixing were done by Alexey Kostovitsky, with mastering by Evgeny Semyonov (Intaglio, When Nothing Remains, Mesmur, etc.). The album is released in two editions, including a limited edition (only 99 copies!) digipak with a booklet.

The brand new album by Quercus has become a new milestone in the discography of the Czech band. Developing the ideas of the avant-garde funeral doom metal «Heart With Bread» amazes by the depth of the church organ sound. Musicians, addressing the nature and the organ, are trying to combine these two accurately elaborated mechanisms into a unified concept, a single organism. In the temple we find the nature, in nature we find the temple: they are in a symphonic harmony. Another research area of the musicians covers melancholy, pain and sorrow of no return. And it is not surprising that the album features the cover version of the composition by the famous contemporary Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, who has disclosed the intertwining of the spiritual lines in his avant-garde music.

The fourth full-length album from one of the best funeral doom metal bands is ready to surprise the listeners. Although the style of the talented multi-instrumentalist Ryan hiding beneath the name of The Howling Void is kept, this album features new colors and musical impressions. This time clean melodious vocal employed at the previous EP “Runa” supports cold cosmic and majestic symphonies. Given the overall monolith of sound, diverse keyboards and guitar parties combined with ambient interludes make “Nightfall” vivid and rich. And from the first tones one can reveal behind detached sadness and reverie one of the unique bands of the genre. Following the tradition, the artwork again features a painting by a famous artist, this time Caspar David Friedrich, an outstanding representative of German romanticism. The first 100 copies of the album come as a noble strictly limited digipack.

The third album from OLD NIGHT, a Croatian band formed by Luka Petrović of ASHES YOU LEAVE. From the very first album the band has established itself as an adherent of the tradition of doom metal with the surprise of rock, the value of heavy metal and atmospheric music in general. "Ghost Light" became, without exaggeration, the most mature work of the group. Balanced sounds and inclusions (including amazing lead guitar parts), polished arrangements and smells of atmosphere - all this makes the album one of a kind and excludes listening. It is also the album and the closure of a trilogy that began on their first full-length album. This intimate concept album takes an even more adventurous turn into the darkest corners of the human mind. The cover and booklet design was done by none other than All Things Rotten, who also worked on the band's first two albums. The album was released as a four-panel digipak with a 12-page booklet.

International death/funeral doom metal act MESMUR have returned to release their fourth album, entitled “Chthonic”. The title is based on the Greek word for "underworld", and where the band's previous albums have explored themes of cosmic entropy and earthly apocalypse, “Chthonic” looks to the spirit world for its inspiration. Formed as a collection of paranormal horror tales, it speaks of fabled entities making contact through the veil of sleep, summoning prey to subterranean depths, or haunting a post apocalyptic landscape. Musically, the album continues the trajectory that MESMUR have established through previous works. Featuring viola and cello performances from Brianne Vieira and guest organ from Kostas Panagiotou of UK funeral doom act Pantheist (for whom Jeremy and John of Mesmur recently contributed guitars and drums on their 2021 record “Closer to God”), “Chthonic” strikes a careful balance between melody and dissonance as it displays its haunted imagery. Crushing doom riffs are overlain with ethereal synths and cavernous vocals to build a dark and vivid atmosphere, and the intricate compositions utilize a narrative approach influenced as much by 70's progressive rock as by extreme doom metal. Like the band's previous two releases, the album features beautifully eerie and vibrant cover art from Ukrainian painter Vladislav Cadaversky.
