The soil that has been cultivated by Without God for the past seven years since the phenomenal “Circus Of Freaks” gave a perfect harvest. The first crop has already been delivered in the form of the EP "Siberian Tunes: The Green Light", and now the second part has arrived in all its strength: the full-length album "Siberian Tunes: Purple Clouds" performed in a hard, dark and aggressive way, without mercy and compassion to listeners, pushing one straight into hell at full speed. The limited edition coming as a noble 4-panel digipack addressed to the true fans best expresses the message by Without God.

horror death doom metal, Solitude Productions

The second album by the Irish band Superstatic founded by Rustam, the founding member of Rakoth and Umbral Presence, who also used to play bass in Cruachan. The name of the band is derived from the debut Rakoth album, "Superstatic Equilibrium", however this time Rustam (under the name of Alex) has turned to doom death metal. On "Glimmering Veil" the music leaned more towards funeral doom metal, became darker and more complex, incorporating elements of horror. At the same time lyrics are based on works by Harlan Ellison, Wilhelm Hauff, Stephen King and Arthur Machen, and videogames Morrowind and System Shock 2, which makes listening to "Glimmering Veil" even more interesting and unpredictable.
Guitar parts were performed by Sergei Lazar (Arkona, Rossomahaar), who has also mixed the album. The album was mastered by Tom Waltz, known from his work with Venom, Annihilator, Dopethrone and many other artists.

neoclassical doom death metal, Solitude Productions
After many years of silence Intaglio has released a new full-length album called “II”. The album can be described as a "doom opera" and will not only amaze old fans of the band, but should also interest new listeners with the contributions Intaglio has made to the development of the style.
A large form was used on "II", which is exceedingly rare in metal and rock music. Only live instruments were used in the recording, including classical ones such as cello and upright bass, and professional vocalists with voices varying from basso profundo to soprano have created a unique palette of sounds. The album is a conceptual work with compositions and lyrics united as a single large piece, and for the full experience should be listened to from beginning to end in order to completely immerse the listener into its atmosphere.
"II" was recorded and mixed at Slow Burn Studio (When Nothing Remains, Woe Unto Me), was mastered by Mika Jussila (Shape Of Despair, Isole, Unholy, Moonspell) at the legendary Finnvox studio in Finland, and includes stunning cover art crafted by the Polish artist Mariusz Lewandowski (Bell Witch, Atramentus) and designed to highlight and complement the album's unique music. Both massive and sophisticated Intaglio’s creation is a brand new and exciting take on the doom death genre.

atmospheric doom death metal, Solitude Productions
Spanish masters of atmospheric doom death metal EVADNE are back with a new full-length album that marks a milestone in their musical activity. This is the most elaborate work of the band to date, with many emotions engrained. EVADNE's music has become even deeper and more sophisticated and, despite its genre; it exists out of time, combining the heaviness of metal and the transparency of symphony. It has everything to express emotions. And night falls here, and in the depths of shadows the pale glow of fireflies is born. Carlin van Ross (Remembrance, Lethian Dreams, Aythis) and Jaani Peuhu (Iconcrash, worked with Before The Dawn, Swallow The Sun, To / Die / For, Thunderstone, etc.) took part in the album recording. Svante Forsbäck (Rammstein, Entombed, Candlemass, 69 Eyes, etc.) from Chartmakers West studio was in charge of the sound on the album, and it is truly amazing! The album comes as a four-panel digipack with a twelve-page booklet. The visual part is represented by photos by Russian photographer Natalia Drepina, a psychologist of dark nature and deep images that make you to comprehend the surrounding reality and explore your inner world.

doom metal, Doom Metal Rebirth
The third album from OLD NIGHT, a Croatian band formed by Luka Petrović of ASHES YOU LEAVE. From the very first album the band has established itself as an adherent of the tradition of doom metal with the surprise of rock, the value of heavy metal and atmospheric music in general. "Ghost Light" became, without exaggeration, the most mature work of the group. Balanced sounds and inclusions (including amazing lead guitar parts), polished arrangements and smells of atmosphere - all this makes the album one of a kind and excludes listening. It is also the album and the closure of a trilogy that began on their first full-length album. This intimate concept album takes an even more adventurous turn into the darkest corners of the human mind. The cover and booklet design was done by none other than All Things Rotten, who also worked on the band's first two albums. The album was released as a four-panel digipak with a 12-page booklet.

funeral doom metal, Solitude Productions
International death/funeral doom metal act MESMUR have returned to release their fourth album, entitled “Chthonic”. The title is based on the Greek word for "underworld", and where the band's previous albums have explored themes of cosmic entropy and earthly apocalypse, “Chthonic” looks to the spirit world for its inspiration. Formed as a collection of paranormal horror tales, it speaks of fabled entities making contact through the veil of sleep, summoning prey to subterranean depths, or haunting a post apocalyptic landscape. Musically, the album continues the trajectory that MESMUR have established through previous works. Featuring viola and cello performances from Brianne Vieira and guest organ from Kostas Panagiotou of UK funeral doom act Pantheist (for whom Jeremy and John of Mesmur recently contributed guitars and drums on their 2021 record “Closer to God”), “Chthonic” strikes a careful balance between melody and dissonance as it displays its haunted imagery. Crushing doom riffs are overlain with ethereal synths and cavernous vocals to build a dark and vivid atmosphere, and the intricate compositions utilize a narrative approach influenced as much by 70's progressive rock as by extreme doom metal. Like the band's previous two releases, the album features beautifully eerie and vibrant cover art from Ukrainian painter Vladislav Cadaversky.

The fourth full-length album from Russian heavyweights in funeral doom death metal, convincingly showcasing the peak of the musicians' craftsmanship. The album continues the path of complicating the musical structure, which now incorporates powerful keyboards and trombone parts. There is also a further complexity in the structure of the lyrics, which unites all the compositions of the album into a single conceptual narrative. This confessional canvas presents the inner world of a hero who once succumbed to pride, having gone through internal catastrophes on a path washed by tears. The artwork, complementing the musical and lyrical components, is created by the artist Matvey Bobkov. The recording and mixing were done by Alexey Kostovitsky, with mastering by Evgeny Semyonov (Intaglio, When Nothing Remains, Mesmur, etc.).

The new full-length album by Majestic Downfall is, without a doubt, the strongest band's release to date. Sophisticated compositions, sound and concept: all these elements are perfectly combined to reflect the unique face of the group and its vision of the doom death metal style, which consists in a refined alloy of heaviness, atmosphere and melody. The music of despair, the music of pain. Too personal and too emotional to live it through every time, and too beautiful to be able to reject every new listening! The long awaited full length album from Siberian (Russia) funeral doom metal band Station Dysthymia rises this conservative genre to a higher level. Inheriting the album name from the «The Nine Billion Names of God» by Arthur C. Clarke this unpredictable album crafted in traditions of funeral doom inters the area of science fiction combining musical genre with fictional scientific theories. The musicians themselves treat the main idea of the album as perspective of human personal tragedy at the background of the tragedy of human society as a whole which tends to self-destruction. This is the band’s vision of the story of the World’s end: solid guitar sound combined with growl in different emotional tones draw the senses of mankind fallen into apathy and drifting towards self-destruction. The dark soundscapes were created with help of Greg Chandler from Esoteric who performed mastering at his studio in UK, M. Hater and I. Stellarghost from Abstract Spirit appeared as guest musicians.

The third full-length album by a Russian band continues to study the problems of insanity of modern society and apocalyptic expectations which were embodied both in the general mood of the album and its lyrics, as well as in in its musical part: tempo variations, passages from meditation to fury, from canonic funeral doom metal to avantgarde psychedelic experiments. And again Septic Mind amazes the fans of heavy, dark and nonstandard music.

The third full-length album by the Portuguese doom metal band A Dream Of Poe completes the trilogy that began with the acclaimed album «The Mirror Of Deliverance». «A Waltz For Apophenia» serves as the final of the journey of self-discovery of the main lyrical character started at the debut full-length album. While in the two previous albums the character was facing mostly his inner fears, this time he is facing the real world he has to overcome. «A Waltz For Apophenia» is a mature doom-album that absorbed all the best from previous works of the band organically combining melodic clean vocals with growls. The dark heavy riffs, mournful melodies and furious guitar solos personify the loneliness of the Azores, the pain and suffering of their inhabitants living among the violence of volcanoes and other forces of nature. The most of musicians previously participated in the recording of the first two full-length albums by A Dream Of Poe appear among the guests at the «A Waltz For Apophenia»: Joao Melo (The Quiet Bottom), Antonio Neves (In Peccatum), Nelson Felix (Spank Lord, Sanctus Nosferatu ), Paulo Bettencourt (Morbid Death) and Kostas Panagiotou (Pantheist). The 12-page booklet and the album cover crafted by Augusto Peixoto (Irondoomdesign) complement «A Waltz For Apophenia» to perfection.

'Timewrought Kings' is the debut album of the Dutch doom band formerly known as Monuments, and the result of many hours of arduous, passionate, and sometimes frustrating work. Following the EP, 'The December Sessions', 'Timewrought Kings' chronicles one's apprehension at the transience of time and a growing disgust at the weakness in man, yet clinging on to some measure of hope and pride rooted in a sort of staunch steadfastness, and eventually abandoning society altogether. In a sense, one is wrought, or made into that which one is, by the inescapable arrow of time, constantly pushing one into a ceaseless industriousness celebrated by modern society.
