Many ancient philosophers taught that our world was only a shade and a shape in respect of the Real World. But thirst for this Perfect World requires permanent development of attention exactly to ... a shadow. Just as a bridge to the Superior the NORD"N"COMMANDER members realize the word "shadow" and offer us their maps, their plan of What Veritable Intention prefers. The album "Maps Of The Shadow" Travelling" (2003) has taken over from the album "Heavenly Barrow" (2002) some stylistic features. Cold, "gothic" vocals and keyboards in combination with "industrial" guitars and drums are also present here. But there is something that makes this album related to "Sacred Spear Aftersounds" (2001) too: namely, interest in archaic Indo-European harmonies. So the style of the album may be called approximately as "gothic / folk / electro". Curiosity for a Shadow, which the NORD"N"COMMANDER members have displayed, is expressed in the fact that musical and poetical images, metaphors and symbols are flowing freely and easily. The symbols are being transfused out of serious philosophical constructions into human (sometimes over-human) psychological praxis and even mental moods. It"s just an atlas of shadows sui generis. But remember that Shades and the Superior are joined. Listen to them!..

Работа над "Berserker" был проведена вместе с Себастьяном "Seeb" Леверманном, вокалистом/гитаристом и одним из основателей пауэр-металл группы ORDEN OGAN, а также владельцем собственной студии Greenman Studios, где велась работа над релизами HUMAN FORTRESS, VANISHING POINT, MAGICA и другими. Итоговый мастеринг доверили Dennis'у Koehne, имевшему дело с альбомами GRIP INC. и SODOM.

Сразу после записи альбома, в декабре 2013 года, группа начала концертную деятельность, выступив на разогреве GODS TOWER, где была очень тепло встречена публикой. Crafting a cathartic experience through introspective yet raw music, “Fragments of a Fallen Star” explores space by combining psychedelic drone, acoustic passages, and energetic atmospheric black metal to form what Daniel Vanderberg of Cult Nation called:” "the aural equivalent of a DMT trip, rocketing from the moons of Jupiter through a dimensional portal to frosty northern forests, pagan rituals and medieval battlegrounds.” A genuine spirit can be heard all throughout “Fragments…” an album of visceral energy and ritualistic capacity, an album rooted in claustrophobic and raw, yet atmospheric and infectious black metal, interlaced with haunting synth, and transcendent folk melodies. “Fragments of a Fallen Star”, is at times sombre, othertimes haunting, sometimes spiritual, and still at other points abbrasive. It succeeds because it is able to paint a picture through patient and purposeful songwriting, revealing crescendos and cathartic peaks throughout. This album was originally self-released on cassette by Harrow in the summer of 2013. Now, more than three years later this underrated Blackened Folk album will be released in a digipack CD by Hypnotic Dirge Records on November 8. Fans and listeners of Alda, Skagos, Falls of Rauros, Obsidian Tongue, Blood of the Black Owl, Panopticon, Agalloch, Wolves In The Throne Room will appreciate Harrow!
