Carlin van Ross (Remembrance, Lethian Dreams, Aythis) and Jaani Peuhu (Iconcrash, worked with Before The Dawn, Swallow The Sun, To / Die / For, Thunderstone, etc.) took part in the album recording. Svante Forsbäck (Rammstein, Entombed, Candlemass, 69 Eyes, etc.) from Chartmakers West studio was in charge of the sound on the album, and it is truly amazing! The album comes as a four-panel digipack with a twelve-page booklet. The visual part is represented by photos by Russian photographer Natalia Drepina, a psychologist of dark nature and deep images that make you to comprehend the surrounding reality and explore your inner world.

Band got a hell of a lot more pedigree than a lot of people realize. After hitting the scene during the first wave of Teutonic Thrash Metal, alongside their more famous contemporaries Destruction and Kreator, these guys seemed to fade very quickly into near-total obscurity. It wasn’t for a lack of output, rather it was a lack of the luck. They’ve been nothing if not persistent though, because aside from a hiatus at the latter end of the 90s, Necronomicon have diligently plugged away at supplying a steady string of always respectable releases over the years. Amongst them, this 2012 effort ranks quite highly indeed. What becomes quickly evident when listening to "Invictus" is how much more refined the new Necronomicon's approach is. This album certainly represents the zenith of the progression they have undergone over the years. Gone is the rough appeal, and in its place you'll find first-rate song writing and a highly professional, up-to-date production style. What’s impressive is that in the process, they have managed to retain most of the manic energy that German Thrash Metal is so renowned for, even if it has become a little watered down by influences from the American Bay Area scene. The trade-off actually results in a much more interesting album. Stylistically speaking, this is straight-up Thrash Metal!! "Invictus" is the album that manages to holds its own against some of the best Thrash Metal releases of the past years!!! Re-release includes bonus-track and new cover artwork.

Comes in 6-panel digipak, ltd. to 333 copies. This album was recorded in early 2012 and it is the band´s third album in fact. At that time, I sought to compose more straightforward material within the strict framework of the BM style and rejected any experiments. But inspiration cannot be controlled. An inexplicable obsession got out of control and forced to create nine songs that were completely unlike on my past (and future) works. In 2012 these experiments with sound seemed to me too bold and I decided to bury this recording. Several songs were re-recorded and released on other albums, and some tracks completely disappeared into the shadows. Then I did not know that this album will begin the transformation from Black Metal to Black Rock. My musical roots won and helped create a different style. The perception of reality has changed and reached a new level. Years later, I changed my opinion about this album,because it iscompletely harmonious and self-sufficient. Inspired by such recordings as Darkthrone - “Goatlord”, Blackdeath - “Bottomless Armageddon” (which got a new life after a while) and of course the legendary Bathory - “Blood on Ice”, I decided to release this album, fully preserving the sound of old time. That is how these songs should sound, they were like that at the very beginning, before all re-releases. Yes, this is an old album, which shows DO SKONU in a new way. Guitar parts were performed by Sergei Lazar (Arkona, Rossomahaar), who has also mixed the album. The album was mastered by Tom Waltz, known from his work with Venom, Annihilator, Dopethrone and many other artists.
The album is released also as a limited edition four panel digipak featuring a twelve page booklet, in order to make your journey into the depths of "Glimmering Veil" even more unforgettable.
