ANAAL NATHRAKH - британский extreme metal дуэт, начавший свой путь исключительно как студийный проект, несший в себе тотальный black metal армагеддон и сырую ярость. Название группы - заклинание Мерлина из фильма Джона Бурмана "Экскалибур", которое лингвист Майкл Эверсон расшифровал как "змеиное дыхание". Дискография британцев насчитывает ряд демок, EP и 7 полноформатных альбомов, а музыкальная составляющая далеко ушла от первоначальных сырых блэковых настроений - за счет влияния грайндкора и дэт-металла. Постепенно работы британцев обрастали сессионными музыкантами, а с конца 2005-го года началась концертная деятельность. "Desideratum" - восьмой полноформатник британцев, которые традиционно сами занимаются сведением, мастерингом и продюсированием альбома. Помимо различных приглашенных музыкантов, среди которых засветился и лидер шведской SHINING Niklas Kvarforth, на "Desideratum" можно услышать британского диджея и продюсера GORE TECH, тесно работавшего с ANAAL NATHRAKH последний год и создавшего для альбома электронные секции.

The album "Maps Of The Shadow" Travelling" (2003) has taken over from the album "Heavenly Barrow" (2002) some stylistic features. Cold, "gothic" vocals and keyboards in combination with "industrial" guitars and drums are also present here. But there is something that makes this album related to "Sacred Spear Aftersounds" (2001) too: namely, interest in archaic Indo-European harmonies. So the style of the album may be called approximately as "gothic / folk / electro". Curiosity for a Shadow, which the NORD"N"COMMANDER members have displayed, is expressed in the fact that musical and poetical images, metaphors and symbols are flowing freely and easily. The symbols are being transfused out of serious philosophical constructions into human (sometimes over-human) psychological praxis and even mental moods. It"s just an atlas of shadows sui generis. “Fucked-Up Songs” is a debut release of DISTRESSFUL PROJECT formed by the two member of a famous and well-liked band ATRA HORA (Pyatigorsk, Russia). The material for this album was composed back in 2008. However, after so many years the musicians decided to rework it completely rather than just re-record the outdated stuff. The new incarnation of songs was significantly influenced by a wide range of genres: a traditional gothic-doom metal foundation with gloomy thick death/doom metal riffs and mighty low male growling was combined with atmospheric post-rock interludes, ambient inserts and trip-hop beats generated using a time-honoured Roland TR-808, the iconic drum-machine from early 90s. Moreover, Yanis and Alextos introduced melodies untypical of doom death metal – they are more characteristic of Greek metal scene represented by ROTTING CHRIST and SEPTIC FLESH, and different vocal techniques – from clean singing to various extreme vocals. As a result the album sounds very lively. The musicians managed to avoid the excessive length of songs and dragging out of material in general, both characteristic of doom metal.

WARDRUNA - уникальный фолк/эмбиент проект, основанный в 2003 году бывшим барабанщиком GORGOROTH Эйнаром «Квитрафном» Селвиком. В WARDRUNA также был задействован Гаал (GORGOROTH, TRELLDOM, GOD SEED) и вокалистка Lindy-Fay Hella. Музыка и атмосфера, создаваемые WARDRUNA, основаны на северном спиритуализме и интерпретации германских и скандинавских рунических алфавитов, а в качестве инструментов используются не только редкие варган, козий рог, лур и прочие, но и многие другие нестандартные источники звука, такие как звук воды, огня или шелест деревьев. "Skald" - акустический альбом WARDRUNA, вышедший 23-го ноября на лэйбле ByNorse Music. В некотором роде это сольный альбом Эйнара Селвика, так как включает накопившийся и неизданный материал, образовавшийся в процессе работы над альбомами WARDRUNA и саундтрека к сериалу "Викинги". "Skald" был записан, сведен и смастерен Ивером Сандэй (барабанщик ENSLAVED) на норвежской Solslottet Studio, где работали над альбомами ENSLAVED, SAHG, AUDREY HORNE и других.
