After many years of silence Intaglio has released a new full-length album called “II”. The album can be described as a "doom opera" and will not only amaze old fans of the band, but should also interest new listeners with the contributions Intaglio has made to the development of the style.
A large form was used on "II", which is exceedingly rare in metal and rock music. Only live instruments were used in the recording, including classical ones such as cello and upright bass, and professional vocalists with voices varying from basso profundo to soprano have created a unique palette of sounds. The album is a conceptual work with compositions and lyrics united as a single large piece, and for the full experience should be listened to from beginning to end in order to completely immerse the listener into its atmosphere. "II" was recorded and mixed at Slow Burn Studio (When Nothing Remains, Woe Unto Me), was mastered by Mika Jussila (Shape Of Despair, Isole, Unholy, Moonspell) at the legendary Finnvox studio in Finland, and includes stunning cover art crafted by the Polish artist Mariusz Lewandowski (Bell Witch, Atramentus) and designed to highlight and complement the album's unique music. Both massive and sophisticated Intaglio’s creation is a brand new and exciting take on the doom death genre.

A reimagined version of the self-titled debut "Intaglio" album originally released in 2005. The new version contains parts and sounds that were not included in the original version of the album, which is now in their place as originally intended. Every second of all the original source tracks underwent restoration and processing using top-class digital and analog equipment. Moreover, for the new version of the album, all drum parts were live recorded, without the use of triggering and sampling technologies, which is very rare nowadays. The album was restored and remixed by Evgeny Semenov (When Nothing Remains, Woe Unto Me, Sorrowful Land) at Slow Burn Studio, mastering was performed by Mika Jussila (Shape Of Despair, Isole, Unholy, Moonspell) at Finnvox Studios.

In anticipation of a full-length album that's scheduled for late 2021, Intaglio are ready to share a new single with listeners. The composition "Subject To Time" is presented in a simplified form in order to provide first impressions of the conceptual work that is the upcoming record. A number of various musicians took part in the recording of the album, performing the live drums as well as a variety of classical instruments. Classically trained professional vocalists also contributed to the recording, and some of this rich variety can be heard on "Subject To Time".
It’s been almost 15 years since death doom act Intaglio released their debut album, and now they are back with some ambitious new material. “The Memory of Death” is a demo single from the forthcoming new album currently in production.
Intaglio has always been a project that’s not afraid to push boundaries and set new standards in the genre. The extensive use of double bass and cello injects a unique character into the recording, and is just one of many things that helps make the band stand out from its peers in death doom metal. Even though it’s only a demo, “The Memory of Death” is a huge step up from the debut in terms of composition and production value.
The full length album is scheduled to be released in 2021.
The fifth release by Australian band Ivan “Silver Screens” develops and affirms their unique personal style that goes far beyond the frames of funeral death doom metal. At the same time, when working on this album, the musicians gained diverse experience and achieved a new level of sound.A combination of heavy riffs with a lively violin and atmospheric keyboards creates a harmonic unity. Melodies that touch the very soul, together with epic and airiness make the album indeed special and memorable. The artwork was created by our good friend Ashley Williams who has expressed through acrylics the spirit of the album, representing the sound through the color palettes which were envisioned whilst writing and recording «Silver Screens».The album comes as a limited six-panel digipack.
A solid release from a remarkably variegated band from St. Petersburg whose music, being so diverse, lets you feel the influence of different genres and epochs. Prehistoric avant-garde. The attempt to combine heaviness and folkish fairytaleness ended up successfully. The guys avoided the shallowness that so often accompanies such attempts.
The new full-length album by Majestic Downfall is, without a doubt, the strongest band's release to date. Sophisticated compositions, sound and concept: all these elements are perfectly combined to reflect the unique face of the group and its vision of the doom death metal style, which consists in a refined alloy of heaviness, atmosphere and melody. The music of despair, the music of pain. Too personal and too emotional to live it through every time, and too beautiful to be able to reject every new listening! Co-release with Weird Truth Productions.
The fourth full-length album of the Belgian quintet Marche Funèbre entitled "Einderlicht", which is translated as "light at the end", combines all traditional elements known from the previous works of the group: death, black and doom metal fused in a unique mixture with strong melodies and wide range vocals.Thematically, "Einderlicht" focuses on the strange ability of humanity to consciously decide to commit suicide.Accounting for their previous experience, which has borne good results, the musicians decided to again ask to perform recording Markus Stock, known for his cult bands and participation in the recording of Empyrium, Vision Bleak, Alcest, Secrets Of The Moon and many others. Brooke Schaden has created another magical cover art for this piece, like for all other Marche Funèbre's full-length albums. The album comes as a digipak with a twelve-page booklet, and includes an exclusive bonus track "Gone".
The third album "Terrene" from international death/funeral doom act Mesmur is a colossal and moving sonic rendering of a dying world. Where their 2017 album S operated on a cosmic scale, Terrene explores similar themes of entropy and impending chaos in a more terrestrial context, and is rife with the suffocating dirges and toxic atmosphere the band is known for. Featuring guest flute and cello performances by Don Zaros of Evoken and the Russian Nadia Avanesova, and another stunning cover design by Ukranian painter Cadaversky, Terrene reaches new levels of scope and ambition for Mesmur in their objective to create a vast and immersive doom metal experience.
First official for the CIS countries reissue of the fourth full-length album "The Book of Kings" by Australian doomsters Mournful Congregation. Vocal envelops its captivating beauty. All 4 songs combine the cold of sad souls. 300 copies in a collectible 6-panel digipak, contain a sticker, a Pit-Art CD, and a 16-page booklet including the names of the fans involved in the fundraiser.
News single from Mournful Gust presents itself “Let The Music Cry” song from the album “For All The Sins” which is a track from the forthcoming live release “If We Were Alive” which is coming in autumn 2014. The track is one of ten songs of the album that was recorded in on-line format specially for fans of the band. The single includes four additional versions of the song – original and orchestra version (taken for the preceding album), live recording and mix from Bejalane (Israel). The single is also supplemented with cover “Honey For My Wounds” (from Mournful Gust album “The Frankness Eve”) by Die Entweihung (black metal, Israel) and noise mix “Sleeping With My Name” (from Mournful Gust album “For All The Sins”) by Art Electronix (Ukraine). The release is designated for devoted Mournful Gust fans and followers of the genre.
The first CD-single in the history of the band is preceding the forthcoming new album. Mournful Gust presents absolutely new composition with exclusive arrangements which is different from the album version. “Sleeping With My Name” performed in the best traditions of gothic doom metal continues the line of the previous album “The Frankness Eve” which got very positive response from listeners and critics. The musicians also paid tribute to the great vocalist Ronnie James Dio by a sensual cover-version of “Rainbow Eyes” song by Rainbow. The album features two additional remixes of the title composition.
